The one word for 2020 is Consistency. We added a tag line, “with balance.” I’m always looking for ways to improve our business, increase ways to improve serving our customers, find time to create, and find a balance with our personal life.
Finding that balance can be hard when you are an entrepreneur. However, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I look back over the past few years, and we have come far. So why did I choose Consistency with balance? It’s something I can always improve on.
“Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.” – Dwayne Johnson
Three Ways For Entrepreneurs and Business Owners:
- Start by segmenting.
When you segment your day, you separate your actions into small chunks, and focus only on the mini-goals of each segment. - Leverage the power of systems.
Systems allow you to leverage your and other people’s time and to tweak and form a truly repeatable business strategy. - Hold yourself accountable, with help.
You can leverage the power of a mastermind group. You can utilize the power of a mentor to help structure and grow you past your current standpoint. You may even have the money and ability to hire help, be it a virtual assistant, staff member or other valuable member of your success team.
Three Ways For Personal Growth:
- Get the Worm.
Do the 20-20-20 method. Wake up at (eg. 5am or time you want) to spend 20 minutes exercising, 20 minutes in prayer or reflection, and 20 minutes focused on personal growth. - Set a Stretch Goal.
Commit to doing more than you thought possible by writing down a big goal. Then break it down with smaller goals to reach it. - Start a Gratitude Journal.
Purpose of a gratitude journal is to use it every day to help guide your thoughts and shift your mindset towards all the positive things you appreciate in life.
Finding that balance between work and home, can be hard. You need to create the balance, in order to have consistency. Here are a three tips in creating balance.
- Set a Date and Time.
Take your google calendar or planner. Block out days and times that you go on a date with your husband, and kids dates. Together and separately. Relationships are KEY! - Take time to Exercise and Reflect.
When you take time for yourself it’s recharging your soul. Exercise is a great way to open your mind. Reflection can help you change your mindset, and create positive energy. - Self Care.
Self Care is always needed. That can be from going to your hair stylist, nail salon, going on a target date, or even taking a nap. You get to decide.
